Job Description

Allflight Corporation is seeking an Quality Control Inspector to join our team. Responsible for visually and functionally inspecting aircraft structures, assemblies, and components during all phases of maintenance accomplished in the Repair Station to ensure safety and adherence to company standards. The QC Inspector is responsible to work in a safe manner eliminating waste and delivering a quality product on time. Determine airworthiness and return to service in accordance with FAR's, approved data and Repair Station Manual requirements. Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships and collaboration with MROs, Suppliers, Customers and Leadership. Coordinate quality risk to ensure deliverables are met. Also facilitates work teams, provides necessary training, leads problem resolution and process improvements. Develop personal skills for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary, hidden damage, inspection continuity, final inspection and return to service and items processed by the repair station
  • Complete FAA forms (8130-3)
  • Execute Repair Station inspection records, reports, and forms
  • Track and report QC Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Assist with internal QC and FOD audits of the Repair Station
  • Audit repair station work order books to ensure compliance with repair station policies
  • Research aircraft records to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Alert Service Bulletins, Technical Bulletins, and maintenance status
  • Assist with mentorship and development of team members (OJT training) to ensure high quality product
  • Processes training forms as necessary
  • Directs and advises team members on challenging issues and provides recommended actions
  • Responsible to ensure no defective or unairworthy parts, component, or unit is released to the public by the repair station
  • Responsible to follow all Repair Station Policy and Procedures
  • Demonstrates safe work habits to including proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • CAPA and adherence
  • Help maintain Internal Audit Schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Education and experience; High school diploma and 5 years quality experience in aircraft maintenance, modifications, Airline/MRO and Repair Station
  • Airworthiness and Maintenance Regulation experience, understanding and detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements (FAA Part 145, Part 43, STC, EASA 145, PMA, AS9100)
  • 5 years combined experience in inspection, maintenance, and servicing of commercial aircraft
  • Flexible work schedule required including shift, weekend, and holiday
  • Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching and prolonged periods of sitting
  • Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds
  • Experience in the use of maintenance reference materials including Manufacturer's Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Component Manuals, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize, work under stress & drive change
  • Excellent interpersonal and ability to work in cooperation with diverse teams
  • Violation free A & P Certificate
